19.04.2019 Meeting up with some old colleagues at this wonderful hotel. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, wood, light roasted, leather, light licorice, orange, faint glue. Palate Oily, round, wood, tannins, plum, raisin, dry, spice, herbs. Finish Medium to long, dry, wood, tannins, orange, light chocolate, herbs.
Review by Jakob
Is clearly more closed than the Berry's Versailles 1985 and therefore seems somewhat "duller" or heavier. Less fresh, but the barrel notes are somewhat stronger. Not quite enough for a duel at eye level, but a great drop remains this bottling.
