Tasted at the Saint Jacques cellar in a masterclass in Tournai. It's clearly a good Ron; it's not just caramel coffee but also woody, spicy, and a bit fruity. However, the finish is too short for my taste.

I have to be honest, I don't think this one stands out (significantly) from the 8-year-old. This one is also relatively sweet, with coffee, vanilla, (dark) chocolate and caramel on the nose and palate. I would have expected better.

I had fond memories of this bottle, which I've had for a very long time and which was my best rum a few years ago now. I have to admit that my tastes have changed, as it's not really what speaks to me today. It's not at all unpleasant. But it's unsurprising and a little too smooth.

I had high expectations for this, but unfortunately I'm not so impressed. A bit too alcoholic and not as round as I thought it would be, especially for the price. I've drunk better for less cost. Bought it blind though, so I have only myself to blame. Maybe it will grow on me, time will tell. Still fully drinkable, just not as good as I hoped.

Rather well made. Very balanced, not too sweet, simple but well made with beautiful aromas and a pleasant indulgence. A rum that allows you to move from 'Diplomatico' to more complex rums for budding enthusiasts.

Pleasant simpler rum. Alcohol nicely integrated, doesn't burn, doesn't bite :-) dominated by coffee, caramel, chocolate. An interesting alternative to Cuban rums. Probably won't fully captivate a Jamaican fan, but won't completely offend either.
