Dégusté à la cave saint jacques en masterclass à Tournai. C’est clairement un bon Ron; il n’est pas que caramel café mais aussi boisé, épicé, et un peu fruité. Par contre la finale est trop courte à mon goût.

Trotz der nur 40 Umdrehungen ist der Alkohol nicht gut eingebunden. Das Ergebnis ist keine runde Sache. Für das Geld bekommt man anderswo deutlich mehr geboten.

Přijemnej jednodušší rum. Alkohol pěkně integrován, nepálí, nekouše :-) dominuje kafe, karamel, čokoláda. Zajímá alternativa ke kubánským rumům. Jamajského fandu nejspíš uplně nezaujme, ale ani uplně neurazí.

I had fond memories of this bottle, which I've had for a very long time and which was my best rum a few years ago now. I have to admit that my tastes have changed, as it's not really what speaks to me today. It's not at all unpleasant. But it's unsurprising and a little too smooth.

Plutôt bien fais. Très équilibré pas trop sucré simple, mais bien fait avec de beau arôme et une gourmandise appréciable. Un rhum qui permet de passer des « Diplomatico » a des rhums plus complexes pour les amateurs en devenir.

I have to be honest, I don't think this one stands out (significantly) from the 8-year-old. This one is also relatively sweet, with coffee, vanilla, (dark) chocolate and caramel on the nose and palate. I would have expected better.
