Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: The rum should breathe long, but then there are fantastic flavors and almost perfectly integrated alcohol. Blind, the over 70% alcohol strength is definitely not noticeable. Classic Caroni notes with rubber and tar, plus heavy wood sweetness and dried fruit, vanilla and pastry, bitter-tart hints of leather and dark chocolate...and even that is far from everything. Every drop is a pure pleasure, this is simply excellent!

This is an old tasting from the time I lived in China. The tasting was a surprise so only a few notes were made on a paper napkin 😊 Very nice color with nice typical Caroni flavours. Long resting was needed to make it settle down. Good ABV integration.
