This 7-year Trinidad molasses rum leans oak and vanilla with a touch of citrus and cocoa, but stays a bit flat, and at 42% the alcohol pokes through for some. A couple found young fruit and caramel they liked. Nice box and label, gentle taste.

Belle boîte et étiquette travailée. Les arômes du rum restent sur une seule trame du nez à la finale: Boisé, Vanille, Caramel, un soupçon de noisette. Pas mauvais, mais rien de très spécial non plus. C'est un bon rum pour un débutant ou pour un cadeau à un novice, car non sucré ou coloré.

Almost boozy but mostly oak and vanilla on the nose. The vanilla gives sweetness but otherwise a fairly dry taste, a little peppery. Fairly short finish. 42% feels a bit low, would probably lift with 50+%. 7.3 out of 10. A rum I pour when I want to drink well without analyzing too much😉

Alcoholic 👃, nothing special to be found. No fruit, just a little bit of oak and vanilla somewhere in the distance. 👅 offers again alcohol very badly integrated, slight sweetness of oak barrel so vanilla, and maybe cocoa beans at the very far spectrum. Not a fan.
