This is a retaste and I stick to my score. Pretty good rum from Habitation. The nose is wonderfully fruity with the typical funk, ester and glue and maybe some varnish/polish in the back. The palate is complex and well balanced, again with a nice funk and lots of fruits. A bit dry with wood and wet hay. The finish is long and fruity with a tad of funk and wood.

Surprisingly in a bad way, if you have any respect for your nasal area and palate, skip it. This mixture of both olive and petroleum products is not the most beautiful effect.

From the first nose, it reminded me of a cold bath, the typical distinguishing mark of a pinimenthol bath additive. But rather subtle. Ester is also clearly recognizable, but not as intense as the Hampden DOK I tasted before. The taste is funky and intense with a slight sweetness. The finish is rather short. Definitely also a good mixer.

A crass combination of apple and banana on the nose. With a hint of vinegar. There is a slight hint of licorice behind it. The taste can't quite keep up, but the banana and great fruitiness remain.

Rum rather reserved for experienced amateurs, and which can surprise a beginner by its power, or otherwise to be discovered in a cocktail. As for me, I like to dive into this kind of profile from time to time. Ripe tropical fruit, ester, honeyed texture, a bit of spices, some hints of apple.

A really good, young unaged Jamaica rum with impressive complexity in taste and a wonderfully buttery mouthfeel. The front notes are naturally esters with aromas of overripe, fermented tropical fruits plus a fitting dose of glue and solvents, but behind that there are exciting facets with green olives in brine, anise, marzipan and a hint of iodine to discover. Absolute top class in a Daiquiri! For me, Worthy Park could just produce this mark only.

Ethers ++ on the nose!! In a glass to taste the wine even more! Almost unpleasant with a very surprising acidity! On the palate, however, we are almost on cane eau de vie with a slightly fruity finish. It's quite disconcerting for a white!! On the other hand, to be avoided for a Ti-Punch, it brings out all the bitterness of the ethers, very unpleasant. Very interesting rum because disconcerting and unique!

Already clearly better than the overproofs from the OBs... very drinkable neat and a blast in a Daiquiri. Classic or also with a bit of Banana Oleo Saccharum and salt. Good white for the home bar and for sipping 👌

The kind of powerful, aromatic white rum we love. Worthy Park flexes its muscles with this bottling, which is full-bodied, intense and funky on the nose. Phenolic and ferm notes combine with brine and ripe tropical fruit, while a hint of spice and freshness counterbalance the extreme profile. It's cleaver, dirty and provocative all at once. The attack on the palate is lively, astringent and explosive. This is clearly a rum of great aroma, with multiple facets: exotic fruits, phenolic and fermentation flavors, spices and saltiness, floral notes... it's a veritable cocktail of flavors, extremely rich. The alcohol is very well integrated. The extremely long finish is adorned with honeyed, spicy, salty, earthy, grassy, smoky and even metallic notes of copper. The Jamaican funk is ever present, both brutal and exuberant. A veritable festival of flavors for an extreme aromatic profile that's also extremely tasty. Needless to say, cocktails with this rum become immediately more exciting.

Cracking tropical nose, deep overripe fruit, ester, nail polish, mango, and apple. Really top notch nose. The mouth is altogether a different proposition, dry, salty, green olive brine, and hay. Mature and dry proposition, enjoy it, not so much of a fruit or ester bomb. Long finish with some brine, olive, herbs and herbal edge. It’s an interesting one, far more complex and layered than most WP, just lacking in the notes I enjoy the most. Solid white. Disappointingly the dry and rather brine forward elements take away from the daiquiri experience where I was expecting great things!

Nosing reveals a combination of fruits, spices and chemistry. Starts off with all kinds of banana accompanied by red and green apple. Sharpness is further introduced with sour raspberries and later light vinegar notes. There’s a bit of sweet herbaceousness from sugarcane, as well as wood and smoke from juniper. A touch of aniseed wraps up the spicy profile. We continue with chemical notes, primarily hot glue and polish, but also some rubber and burnt plastic. Sipping initially overwhelms the tastebuds with harsh butyric acid, quickly redeveloping into more pleasant notes. More hot glue, rubber, polish and vinegar. And eventually again banana and spicy, woody notes from anise and juniper. Finish is light and dry. The pharmacy shuts down and high quality honey and raspberry are reintroduced. This is a very strong and wild unaged rum that has many applications in mixology, but can also be enjoyed neat.

The nose is powerful and carried by notes of exotic fruits (mainly banana) as well as a more vegetal side and glue. An aromatic bomb with heavy flavors of overripe fruits. On the palate, it is complex and balanced. Again, the overripe fruits express themselves the most. Added to this are a bit of green olives and wet wood. It is warm and beautiful. The finish is very long, it coats the whole mouth with Jamaican funk and a bit of woody-spicy. What more to say except that it's a time bomb? Not to be put in every hand.

Definitely more sophisticated on the nose than on the palate and not the new favorite rum; but still an exciting thing! Besides all the fruit notes in the smell, you get the impression of olive brine/dirty martini that you can't shake off.

My RumRatings review from 5 years ago: The WP is very powerful on the nose and the ester immediately shows what it can do. Clear solvent and many fruity notes like orange and other citrus fruits are perceptible. The rum should breathe at least 30 minutes so the sharpness doesn't disturb the nosing. You can learn a lot about esters here. On the palate, the rum has a surprisingly pleasant sweetness that meets fruity aromas. The 57% are not aggressive and the finish is characterized by ester notes that remain present in the mouth for a long time. The WPE is a fantastic rum that can be drunk neat without problems. Also very suitable for blending. A great complex rum, even if I miss the barrel notes and therefore for me it's for learning, blending and drinking occasionally.

Jamaica - Strongly pronounced potpourri of lacquer, esters but especially fruits. Incidentally tobacco & honey. Wonderful high-ester experience. At the start, it pleases with distinct fruit sweetness before the honey takes over. This gains more sweetness/intensity with time. Smoky notes at the end. Purchase recommendation! Although unaged, you can't go wrong for the price. Whether neat or in a cocktail, a funky drinking experience.

Oohhh... how unusual this is. Pineapple, bananas mixed with nail polish remover, juice of canned green olives, quite smoky and spicy mezcal, sour mango, wood resins. On the palate, vinegar from tropical fruits, mezcal smoke, fried green olives on rustic olive oil, plenty of funky notes too. The aftertaste is long, ethereal-tart, with woody-resinous bitterness. Incredibly complex and tasty ethereal-aldehyde new make. Can be enjoyed neat, but I think it will be simply irreplaceable in cocktails, for example in a Daiquiri. Very cool!

I love Worthy Park. And this one are most intense mark - WPE. Let's try it. Nose: Wow ! Very intense. Dominate of esters, glue, paint, solvents, varnish, vinegar. Even little bit reminds baijiu ! Aftertaste, you can find some white flowers, vanilla, salty water. Something sour, maybe kiwi. Palate: rich, sour, swety. Wow ! Some funky candies, with esters, glue, solvents, nail polish. Tropical fruits & chemicals. Absolutely insane combination. Aftertaste: really long. Still lot of chemical note. High esters, solvents, glue, nail polish, varnish. Some flowers, salty & earthy notes. Actually, it's still sweet enough. Remind fruity candies. Conclusion: not for all, but if you like Jamaica - this one Wild & insane. Highly recommend to try :)

Shocked to see a bottle of this sitting on a shelf! At Kome in Curacao. Among a few others I've never seen. Very rich and funky. Banana notes are there, but kind of hidden. Glue and nail polish. Not super hot, even at 57%. Bottled in 2017, sure the bottle has been open a while to mellow. I have never had the WPE marque to my knowledge. Thought that having the white Habitstion Veliers might be a touch much on the intensity scale, but this one is really nice! Would definitely make a banging daiquiri. Is a pleasant sipper, though 2 ounce pour is on the large size for trying it out.
