Bristol Classic Rum & Corman Collins & The Auld Alliance Diamond 2003
"Ovomaltine at its best," one taster wrote, and that captures it: malty milk chocolate, coffee and cappuccino on the nose, then caramel, dried date and orange on the palate. This 15-year Diamond pot-still from Guyana runs warm and full at 58.3%, with a long coffee-chocolate finish and, as a few noted, a faint smoky, almost Jamaican edge. Balanced rather than heavy on molasses.

Warm, chocolatey cask-strength Demerara sipper A well-balanced Demerara that wins people over — chocolate, coffee and dried fruit, warm and full-bodied. A couple of tasters needed two or three sittings before it fully clicked.

01.11.2019 Den Dansk Rom & Whiskyfestival This was my first visit to this two day event, where everything is included in the ticket. Also the first event where I have seen so many extremely drunk people. This event usually just has what's considered mainstream products, but luckily my friend had the right contacts so for a premium we had our own little collection to go through. Today I get free a free ticket if I want to attend 😊 Very nice rum and a well balanced one. Medium fruity with nice spices and a warm oily palate. The finish is long and has a nice coffee/chocolate note. Made an extra not that I liked the smoky touch on the palate.

Very beautiful red-gold color. Chocolate, coffee and fine spice on the nose. Lots of fruit (dried and orange). Powerful and perfectly balanced. Great, full mouthfeel. Powerful and warm. Alcohol perfectly integrated. Very good, long finish, a hint of Jamaican funkiness. A very good Demerara off the beaten track. I needed 2-3 tastings to really appreciate it.😉

No tasting notes today as a lot of rums were sampled and re-sampled in addition to a couple cigars and we talked rather than taking tasting notes. This one was the highlight of the day with a re-tasting of the Tamosi Haubariria KFM.

Ovomaltine at its best 😅 Malty on the nose, milk chocolate, dried dates, tangerine. Caramel and cappuccino on the palate. A nice barrel note on the finish. Dangerously delicious! Many thanks to Vienna for this!

Actually, I'm not that into the 2003 Diamonds. However, this one is surprisingly round and balanced, not too much molasses, nice fruit notes.
