11.01.2020 - 12.01.2020 Splitting some samples over two days. Notes. Dark in colour. Nose: Round, wood, cherry, plum, light roasted, caramel. Palate: Oily, wood, roasted, plum, earthy, herbs, caramel, light licorice. Finish: Medium long, wood, roasted, dried fruit, licorice, earthy. Sample was from a bottle my company received as a present from an Italian supplier.

I don't understand the low rating on this one. I quite enjoyed it.

As the name suggests, we are on a rum from Guyana distilled in 2004 on the historic Versailles Wooden Still at Diamond Distillery.Bottled specifically for the Milano Rum Festival 2018 at 272 bottles. So this is a 57% Single Cask 14 year old.It is a full bodied rum. It's a full bodied rum...very powerful, even a little too alcoholic for my taste. It is long in mouth with notes of bitter citrus fruits, spices (pepper-anise) and smoky-woody. Personally, I was not conquered, but it is very difficult to follow after the Explosive Hampden H tasted just before!
