Quite flat, rather good but lacks power, depth and complexity. Why not a good entry rum for non-initiates: drinks very easily, medium length on vanilla and quite pleasant apricot. Edit, tasted blind with the Avent 2024: Immediately recognized by its totally isolated and flat sweet caramel aroma typical of Reimonenq, as if caramel syrup had been added to a tasteless rum... The nose makes its effect on caramel, but the palate is flat on this overly sweet caramel and then unmasks Reimonenq, the length is nonexistent. Leaving a glass bottom I find ants stuck the next day... Ok...

This 3yo Agricole from Guadeloupe is really great for just being 3yo. The big difference between this young ReimonenQ and the ones more aged is that those has a deeper and more powerful taste. The nose is soft and spicy with aroma of licorice. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s smooth, fruity, spicy and sweet with flavors of licorice and sugarcane.

18.02.2026 Retasting and still find it a bit bland. ------------ Last weekend we had a nice sitting and though Corona is still in the news we manage to meet up, keep distance and try out some rums. This one is pretty OK, though young and we disagreed a lot on the quality. Thir price to quality is pretty good. Fruity and woody from nose to finish with some added spice. The woody flavour is young wood and matches pretty good with the rest.

Vanilla, wood, dried fruits and a fine spice create a pleasant, easily approachable profile. However, given some time, it becomes clear that it lacks depth and development. A classic, honest, solidly made Agricole for in-between.

An entry-level agricole rum, young and simple to get into. It's rather fruity and woody, perfect for beginners. The alcohol is still noticeable but the quality-price ratio is very fair.

A thick, spicy rum offering a very woody finish... maybe a bit too much for me. Far from unpleasant, but I would have liked a bit more subtlety. I think I’ll keep it aside for this winter!!!

The nose is powerful. The attack on the palate is quick with a lot of complex aromatic power, the finish is long with a taste that lingers in the mouth with a sensation of spicy sharpness. A very good agricole rum for me for a reasonable budget. I was lucky to visit this beautiful distillery in Guadeloupe, don't hesitate if you are passing by!.

Spicy, woody and herbaceous from start to finish. An alcoholic nose, a touch of apricot on tasting, and again for the finish. Maybe too thick in the mouth for the summer season.

Really very smooth, a woody side that dominates but you find quite a lot of flavor behind it. Probably lacks a bit of punch to hope for more but a safe bet for beginners in agricole.

Nose Very gourmand caramel nuances, milk jam. Plenty of vanilla bean. With a bit of time, the herbal side immediately reveals itself, hand in hand with florality. Lemon balm water. Lots of confit orange peel, Crepe Suzette. Orange blossom water. A perfumed floral note I can't quite name. A bit of licorice root. Bergamot, maybe earl grey. Citrus notes become very pronounced over time. Underneath, a bit of cocoa and maybe some cumin and turmeric. A pleasant nose! 83 Palate A body that could be called medium-low if not medium. Dilution is noticeable. Spices and candy notes become obvious, the citrusy freshness recedes. Turmeric, maybe lightly cooked carrot, cumin, cinnamon and a bit of cocoa powder. Sweetness that could be called medium. A bit of pretzel and vanilla. A palate a bit flatter than the nose but decent. 81 Finish Floral notes reappear. Plum eau de vie. A slight lentil-like undertone undermines this freshness. Like synthetic floral car perfumes. Lily and maybe plumeria in the background. Carrot juice. Medium-low intensity. At the very end of the finish, there's a note like accidentally drinking someone's perfume. Obvious raspberry. A finish of medium length. Although that perfumed quality creates an interesting effect, I can't quite decide how much I like that detail. 81 Overall impression It shows a very intriguing side with some notes (floral perfumed) but 1-2 notes also undermine that delicate part (like lentils). I think they could improve the presentation even without raising the current level (by bringing the dilution to a more “craft” ABV). 80 Total: 81 Price-performance: Medium-good Would I buy again?: Nice for entry level but trying it once was enough
