Second tasting and this time I like it much better. Elegant and palate caressing, as you would expect from a Longueteau. Lots of young liquorice and caramelized spice on the palate. The finish is quite short, but invites you to sip more. Delicious.

Comes across as fresh and spicy on the nose with a light orange-grape fruitiness. Has a distinct herbal-grassy-green note. Dry woody like dry red wine with a hint of Maggi (but only subtle). On the palate it actually seems a little thin at first, but then the barrel comes through in a woody-bitter way. Tart nutmeg, steranis and grapefruit peel. Chamomile tea and grassy, green sugar cane on the back. Okay, but still quite unspectacular,
