TØZ White Gold is just like TØZ Gold a rum launched in 2007 and phased out 2011 by St. Lucia Distillers Group. I got the opportunity to taste it at Cane Rum Society in Stockholm when Dave Marsland launched his book about St. Lucia sugarcane & rum history. This rum is a blend of rums distilled in SLD’s Coffey Column Still (85%) and their different pot stills. Some of including parts was aged for seven and a half years including 6 months in port casks before carbon filtration to remove the colour. The only difference relatively the TØZ Gold is that the Gold is not filtrated according to Dave. It owes its name to Saint Lucia's tradition of measuring precious stones and gold (Troy Ounce). The nose is fresh with scents of citrus and lemon. At the palate it’s smooth and creamy with flavors of vanilla, ripe grapes and raisins. The finish persists quite long. Overall a rum with a great nose and finish but with a rather thin taste.
