26.01.2013 Had a nice meet up with other nerds at this old hotel. Afterwards some played at the Casino. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, light caramel, faint leather, banana, faint tar. Palate Intense, wood, light smoke, orange, banana, overripe, light caramel, earthy, light tar. Finish Medium to long, wood, light smoke, dried fruit, light caramel.

8,3:On the nose, toasted oak notes like caramel, nuts, leather, spicy allspice, dried apricots and raisins, citrus fruits, minty molasses, light tar, hints of rubber, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, molasses is earthy, musty, floral, chocolate joins, spices are warm, some metallic patina comes out and banana. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is slightly sweet with molasses honey, minty, toasted wood notes like burnt sugar, leather, nuts, confectionery, espresso hints, spicy with allspice, fruity with dried fruits like raisins and apricots, tropical fruits, melon, lightly industrial with tar, petrol. 8,2:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, dried and citrus fruits make marmelade, molasses is earthy, vegetal, dark with black tea, as the oak is toasted with nuts, chocolate, spicy, warm, with allspice, smoky.

Nice, smooth and rounded TDL, like all other 1991 vintages I've tried so far, it has nice technical notes. Intense wood, then weaker leather and spices. Medium-long to long finish. However, minty notes do not appear.
