Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Blind you could almost think of raspberry spirit especially on the nose. Rarely experienced such an intense berry aroma in Agricole. Absolutely extraordinary! Extremely round and mild due to minimum 2 years in steel tank. 👌🏽

Thanks to Pedro Ferreira who gave my in-laws some rum samples :-) This is a good white rum with lots of vegetal and fruity notes! Despite the low alcohol content, very intense and mild enough to drink pleasantly, also because there is some sweetness in the form of sugar cane.

Tried it and forgot to take a picture, luckily I gave the remaining sample to Johannes. There I could still get an impression with a screenshot. I would have totally forgotten to rate it. According to the notes, I unfortunately didn't find it that convincing.

Got this Agricole, produced by the family distillery O’Reizinho in Santa Cruz Madeira, as a gift from Rhum Attitude when made a purchase from them. It’s distilled in 2015 and was rested and reduced to its 45% during quite a long time before being bottled in 2019 in just 1200 bottles. The nose is fresh, fruity, spicy, complex and a little bitter with scents of fresh cane, citrus, mango, lime, pepper and mineral notes. At the palate it’s well balanced, intense, fresh, fruity, spicy, fatty and rather round as well as sweet with flavors of sugarcane, exotic fruits, pepper and hints of licorice. The finish is rather long, round, mellow and sweet.

I really like this Reizinho. Nice nose, with the fresh plantiness typical of an Agricole, and sugar cane is also recognizable. On the palate, olives come to the fore, it's also slightly salty, and for me it tastes a bit like an ester.

Extraordinary! What a nose, you travel to the sugar cane plantations with that smell of freshly cut cane! It transports you completely! The palate is just as surprising, with an explosion of sweetness, sugar, candied fruit and even prunes. The finish is just as surprising, with figs, and when the glass dries on bagasse, it's like stepping into a distillery!
