Lots of rich black treacle molasses with a notable hit of oaky vanilla goodness.

Kein Zucker.

Surprisingly good in my opinion. Must rate it better than the rest of the community. Tastes very spicy and slightly woody, but it goes down my throat well. Can also be drunk neat and not just with cola ;-)

6:The nose opens with the rather sweet, gourmand side of a Jamaican rum, made of banana and a drop of resin. Then we get pepper, coconut and orange seem to lead us towards Barbados, while mingled wood and walnuts would guide us more towards Guyana. Plum and other black fruit tannins spice things up a bit, as does the slightly dreadnought, metallic leaning that follows. The profile is rich but rather rough, like a typical navy rum.Aeration rounds out the edges, while caramel, molasses and licorice round out the woodiness. A surprising touch of cane juice or honey enriches the nose considerably. It continues to become more complex, with spices, vegetal notes and walnuts that give it a slightly oxidized aperitif wine feel. The rum becomes softer, less rough. The oak is more mellow, spreading out into nuts and cocoa. 5,5:The palate is soft on entry, revealing a sweet, juicy fruitiness that had been on the back burner until now. Molasses and wood then mingle in a smoother ambience, leading on to coffee and toasted nuts. All these notes remain light and well-balanced, until the toastiness takes over and swarms the taste buds. 5:On the finish, the same dark, roasted notes persist, with black coffee and roasted nuts..

It has its own sweet note of cocoa and others of roasted, forest and spices, not as bad as it sounds

Very surprising and strange nose. Mocha, chocolate, in the background bacon and smoke.Especially mocha also pulls through the taste, but it also becomes quite tangy. The box is nowhere near as bad as expected, though. Long drinks should work, and otherwise: surprisingly bad for the tenner.

better than the regular Captain Morgan. it has clear notes of black molassen jamaican rum like myers, or even Worthy Park 109, just quite a lot less refined and with a rather strong alcoholic burn. Usable for drinks that ask for a blackstrap kind of rum

This rum has nothing to do with the Captain Morgan that I got as a sample from TheDunderhut. I also got another bottle of the Captain, when it was still distilled in Jamaica, here in the forum for a split. The taste is worlds apart, although the original bottling is unfortunately not a unicorn either.

Nicht wirklich gut. Aber immerhin besser als die ganzen „Spiced“ Sorten. Die Cola steht nicht ohne Grund daneben. Klassischer Supermarkt Rum. Zum Mischen ok aber mehr auch nicht. Würde den nicht noch einmal kaufen.

Ron malo. No me gustó en absoluto

This one was not good, even for mixing not necessarily suitable. Then rather still the normal Captain Morgan.
