Sip it neat or build a ti-punch — this Guadeloupe blanc agricole works both ways. Expect grass, lemon and fresh sugarcane up front, with a floral, peppery bite and a hint of vanilla custard. At 59.9% the alcohol is surprisingly well-integrated, and one taster even caught banana when it opened up. The nose reads a touch thin, but the palate and long, minty finish carry it.

This Karukera Agricole from Guadeloupe was in slot #13 in my 2025 advent calendar. It’s a rum with a little thin nose, but with a great taste and finish. The nose is fruity and floral with scents of lemon, banana, grass and vanilla. At the palate it’s intense, soft, smooth, complex, fruity, spicy and floral with flavors of lemon, banana, pepper, sugarcane and mint. The finish is long, dry and minty.

Very vegetal but with a nice subtlety. There are also some citrus notes, potpourri giving a floral side, and a little spicy kick on the tongue reminiscent of chili. Beautiful integration of the alcohol.

19.12.2020 Nice tasting shortly before Christmas in a private area of the bar. Unfortunately this very old bar closed down in 2023. Notes Clear in colour. Nose Fresh, intense, Agricole, grass, citrus, light floral. Palate Warm, fresh, Agricole, grass, citrus, floral. Finish Long, warm, citrus, sugarcane.

The name of this Blanc Agricole says it all: L‘Intense…. And it is… complex, intense, full of aromas. Vegetal, spicy, sweetish, fruity and the alcohol is quite well integrated. I'm a fan of such Blanc Rums… curious how it performs in T-Punch and Daiquiri.

A nose of greedy sugar cane, pancake batter, fresh and round, the alcohol is very well integrated. A white rum of tasting a perfection in ti-punch! By draining it, the nose is very carried on the banana, and the mouth a little also, it is very good!
