A very disappointing rum. The nose is markedly acidic, with hints of cold chimney and ashtray. There's a hint of fruit in the background. The palate is even worse, with chimney and ashtray residues completely dominating the smothered fruit. The finish is short. Not much fun here.

I bought this bottle relatively expensive and shared it - hoping to have snagged an unknown Albion. Unfortunately, the base product is barely recognizable because the rum must have a smoky whisky finish. This covers everything. Unfortunately not my thing at all.

This is one of the first Silver Seal's I've had where I was disappointed. The rum os completely out of balance and the roasted/smoke wood has taken over the profile. Even when rested for an hour and with some added water is still cones off wrong.
