sehr sehr schöner fruchtiger Rum

Ein leckere Pfirsichbombe, mild und als Dessertrum herausragend. Trotz wesentlich längerer Reifung, vermisse ich aber den geschmacklichen Mehrwert im Gegensatz zum normalen XO Sauternes Cask. An Komplexität nimmt er nicht merklich zu, daher gilt es abzuwägen, ob man den erheblichen Mehrpreis für den zumindest schönen Glasdekanter bezahlen möchte.

A very fruity and sweet rum matured in sauternes casks which is obvious in nose and palate. Too sweet but still nicely balanced between sweet, fruit and barrel flavours.

Die ist mein Dritter NPU N: es steigen sofort Aromen von Zitrusfrüchte (Orangen/Mandarinen) und überreife Bananen auf! Diese überlagern alles andere, recht angenehm G: Cointreau ist mein erster Gedanke, nur milder und weicher, dann gesellt sich etwas Bitteres hinzu (geriebene Orangenschale) und eine starke, aber nicht ganz so unnatürliche Süße wie bei den beiden anderen NPU dazu, der Abgang ist kurz und unspektakulär, er bleibt sich treu (Orange und Süß) Als Dessertgetränk akzeptabel, mehr aber auch nicht!
