Hanse Spirit Hamburg February 2026. Moving on. Good rum booth here. This one definitely offers intense cherry and it's clearly noticeable. It's quite fruity, but leather is also clearly detectable.

Pretty nice and interesting on the nose, but (as it often happens) rather disappointing on the palate. It is too alcoholic, simple and rough, with accent on the wood. Otherwise, a nice experience to broaden your senses and try something new.

This is a really good rum to enjoy. The aroma has a grassy theme and candy that is fresher in the younger versions. The flavor has a chocolate-like bitterness, a bit pungent. The finish is short with a chocolate finish

Origin: Colombia Aging: 15 years solera method Alcohol content: About 35% Type: Dark aged rum produced from molasses A special feature of this rum is the aging at a whopping 2200 meters above sea level!!! On the nose, it opens with a harmonious profile, marked by a well-balanced maturation even though the alcoholic note is perhaps a bit too noticeable despite only 35° ABV. You immediately notice sweet vanilla and caramel upfront, coming from the long stay in oak barrels (probably ex-bourbon). Light notes of dried fruit, like raisins and dried plum, with hints of toasted wood and a touch of nutmeg. A slight nuance of tobacco and dark chocolate, which gives elegance to the aromatic profile. On the palate, this rum is soft, round, and velvety, with a warm texture but perhaps a somewhat weak body. The entry is sweet and smooth, with hints of honey, cane sugar, and toffee. Evolution towards more woody and spicy tones, with a gentle but persistent presence of oak, cocoa, and bourbon vanilla. The spicing is balanced, never intrusive. The finish is warm but not very persistent, closing on notes of burnt caramel, sweet wood, and light smokiness. A discreet rum that for a price of about 30€ might be worth it.
