Licores Veracruz Mocambo 15 Años
Poured neat it splits the room: sweet up front, then a dry, smoky finish of burnt oak and tobacco that one taster bluntly called an ashtray. Coffee, clove and caramel round out the nose. At 40% it's soft and dark — heavily colored — and does its best work stretched over Coke, where the burnt oak still shows without taking over. A budget-friendly everyday pour, not a 15-year showpiece.

Свого часу куштував цей ром. Початково здивувала відносно невелика ціна, відносно заявленого віку у 15 років. А у середині нічого видатного не виявлено. Й здається, як на мене, що "15 років" не відповідає дійсності. На смак це, як якийсь дешевий ром "з нижньої полиці", густо зафарбований колером. Not recommended.

A darker color than expected, with a caramel aroma. A nice burnt oak flavor straight, with no hint of that caramel. When mixed with Coke, the burnt oak is still present, but does not overpower the drink.
