Le meilleur rhum selon moi

Im Zuge eines Blind Tastings verkostet. In der Nase dominiert absolut ein Aroma von Walnuss. Leicht verbrannter Kaffee. Quasi kein Alkohol wahrnehmbar. Im Mund ist er zyklisch abwechselnd süß und trocken/leicht adstringend. Der süße Teil ist "typisch rummig". Der trockeneren Teil intensiv nach Walnuss und röstig. Etwas Holz. Die Nussaromen sind derart auffällig im Vergleich, dass ich hier nicht an eine natürlich Entstehung glauben kann. Überzeugt mich nicht.

Dictador: a dishonest rum brand? An interview with Dictador's master blender (http://consulhonorariostuttgart.de/?q=de/destileria_colombiana) explains a lot. The fact is that Dictador has never used the solera system and buys in some of the light alcohols for its rums. The alcohol content may also not be correct, concealing a small amount of added sugar. Overall, not the best impression. Nevertheless, this rum is good. Not a trace of fruit, but a lot of roasted aromas plus nut, honey, coffee and chocolate, which I find very tasty. The rum is reasonably easy to drink, although it is a little rough and spicy on the finish. The bourbon barrel is definitely present.

Ein sehr guter Rum. Ich finde er hebt sich auf jeden Fall von den Durchschnitt Dictadors ab. Schmeckt absolut nicht süss, dafür viele Röstaromen, Nuss und etwas Schokolade sind zu schmecken. Gelungener Rum

Schöne intensive Kaffenoten und auch dunkle Schokolade. Er schmeckt zwar süßlich ist aber keine zuckerbombe. Finde ihn gut gelungen für Einsteiger und Leute die sich von den zuckerbomben langsam trocken trinken wollen.

Rhum étonnant aux saveurs chaudes de café torrefié et de chocolat noir. Parfait accord entre le nez et le goût. Un rhum pas trop sucré et qui tient toutes ses promesses. C’est tout à fait le genre de rhum que j’apprécie.

The taste is incredibly soft and bold with sweet Columbian coffee, dark chocolate and lots of vanilla from the oak tree. The aftertaste is almost overwhelming, is nicely long and with a really good balance - I have to admit that this rum from Dictador appeals to me 👍

Der Dictador XO ist ein sehr interessanter weicher Rum. Erinnert mich an einen Vanille Cappuccino, wobei ich ein Ristretto Liebhaber bin. Mir fehlt vielleicht etwas Tiefe. Aber der Gesamteindruck ist wirklich gut.

Er ist angenehm würzig in der Nase mit einer holzigen Schokoladennote. Am Gaumen entfaltet sich ein kräftig-röstiger Schokogeschmack mit Kaffee, Nuss und Vanille. Er ist zwar nicht ganz günstig aber jeden Cent wert.

8:Like the other rums in the range, the nose is marked by coffee, molasses and caramel. These are combined with a slight woodiness, reminiscent of maple syrup. This woodiness is well burnt, the caramel is quite dark, but it remains round, not sticky like charcoal. There's also a hint of roasted walnut, a slightly oxidized side. We take the roundness a step further with a brioche toasted with honey. With a little air, the nose becomes less sharp and even more mellow. The molasses is still there, but this time it's liquorice. 7,5:The palate is rather lighter and less thick than one might expect. It is totally faithful to the traditional Spanish style, with caramel, vanilla, toasted wood and tobacco. The coffee is more subdued this time. 7,5:The finish is also fairly typical, of medium intensity. The maple syrup, on the other hand, lingers on the palate. So, another typical Dictador...

Very smooth and not too sweet. Again the nice coffee flavors that i love from Dictador. But i still prefer the XO Insolent over this one.
