🥃 J.M 1998 – 15 years (43.7%) Vintage 1998, 15 years in ex-US bourbon barrels, bottled cask strength with its iconic wooden box and leather label. 👃 Explosive nose: spices, noble wood, and a surprising note of artificial cherry candy 👄 Palate: round, elegant, chocolaty, woody with a touch of tobacco Very good JM, but this “cherry candy” note is a bit divisive. Nice, but not the greatest JM leather label I've tasted so far.

10.09.2021 Sitting at home with some samples. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Light wood, sweet, cherry, faint licorice, light vegetal, faint citrus. Palate Light, wood, light citrus, faint floral, light medicinal, spice. Finish Medium long, wood, flora, citrus, faint medicinal, light cherry. Extra note. A very atypical J.M.

Mouhai, it's not great J.M. It's good but it doesn't break 3 legs.

Nose of fresh pear and verbena freshness. Very fresh, light floral palate (rose). Sweet licorice and strawberry. Lacks power, too perfumed. Lacks depth and length (sample possibly spoiled?).
