Unconvinced, with an unexpressive nose, a "diluted" palate and a light finish. The Caroni markers have faded. Not my thing.

Tasted long time ago - Rate 8.1 21-11-2025 - Rate 9.0 Tasted this way back, when I did not appreciate Caroni like I do today. Nice to try it again. Would like to have on. Classic Caroni nose and taste. Rubber, tar, glue and wood with a hine of raisins and dates from the sherry finish. Medium finish dominated by tar and wood

Sherry butt does not suit mild Caroni. It overwhelms the whole Caroni taste ... Caroni is a distillery from Trinidad, producing in its heyday a rum that was added in a ratio of 1:10 to the naval blend. It was too distinctive and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. In 2000 the distillery ceased production and was closed. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who liked the rum precisely for its special taste. And interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of rums "you need to try before you die." I recommend it, Caroni is really a unique rum.
