Overripe tropical fruit — mango, pineapple, papaya — piled on strawberry yogurt, vanilla pods and warm baking spice, with the glue-and-solvent kick you expect from a Savanna grand arôme. One taster called it a "big tropical fruit salad" with leather and strawberry. This 11-year tropical-aged pot still runs hot at 63.9%, and a couple of tasters note the finish fades faster than the nose promises.

Überreife Früchte, natürlich Erdbeerjoghurt, Menthol. Am Gaumen anfangs mit der vollen Ladung und zum Abgang hin leider stark schwächelnd. Der Alkohol ist gut integriert und der Abgang eher alkoholisch. Ein weiterer sehr guter Savanna, der seinem Preis aber nicht gerecht werden kann.

Ice candy, strawberry Campino sweets, peach and pineapple, cream sweets and olive brine at its best once again. Savanna is simply love 😅 it's surprisingly easy to drink overall, but it's still not top league. Alcohol could be a little better integrated.

Top Savanna! Just the right mix of wood and fruitiness. One does not meeti the typical "brachiality" of a Grand Aroma, but that's what makes it exciting! Beautiful cinnamon note.

Per la mia prima recensione su RumX ho deciso di raccontare le mie impressioni su questo rum!! Premetto che non sono un grandissimo fan dei Savanna ( De Gustibus ) ma questo imbottigliamento di The Wild Parrot è davvero notevole!Si tratta di un grand arôme con un alto contenuto di esteri.!Al naso avverto un sentore di vaniglia iniziale, seguito poi da vernice, smalto per unghie, plastica,cera e banane mature!Al palato lo trovo floreale, fruttato e catramoso allo stesso tempo, accompagnato da salamoia, lime e spezie!!Un alcool ben integrato ed un finale bello lungo anche se con una leggera nota amara, lo rende a mio avviso davvero un Rum ben fatto!!

Aromas of tropical fruits, vanilla, crème brûlée and cinnamon powerfully shape the nose. The spice notes are clear and complex. On the palate, fruity sweetness, pastry notes and a hint of almond unfold, accompanied by spicy warmth. The long finish costs with its multi-layered structure and remains dense and impressive.

Intense savanna selected by wild parrot! Lots of spice plays a major role throughout the tasting! Fruity and citrusy nights make it very pleasant to drink! To my taste I am not crazy about it as a rum but I must say it is a nice selection of savanna!

This one was just to try another bottling and it was also pretty good. The barrel was pretty much absent in this particular one. The nose was well balanced and very fruity with nice spices. The palate was well balanced, warm and oily with lots of fruit and wonderful spices. In the back i get nuts and menthol. The finish is long and warm with vanilla, toffee and caramel (almost like toffifee).

Beautiful Grand Arôme from Savanna, which is somewhat milder than other representatives of the same genre - if you can speak of mild at all with Grand Arômes. All in all, a great rum, but in my opinion not enough for the Savanna top class.

The typical Grand Arome notes of overripe red fruits like sour cherries and strawberries, along with an intense note of vanilla bean pulp, immediately flow into the nose. On the palate, intense spices but also a clear alcoholic sharpness.

Generous and oily tears. 👃 Big basket of tropical fruits (pineapple, starfruit, mango) left too long in the sun. Freshly cut bourbon vanilla lengthwise, magnificent set of kitchen spices, both salty (pink pepper from Reunion, Colombo) and sweet (cinnamon, cardamom). A touch of ginger. Occasionally, strawberries blended in frozen yogurt with its vanilla, delicious. Then a return to steamed vegetables cooked with a Japanese sauce that develops all sorts of vinegar-preserved flavors (brine, olives, anchovy paste). Freshness on subtle notes sometimes mentholated, sometimes licorice-like. Beautiful intensity and almost perfect combination of all these aromas. 🤤 Same again and again! Very intense start and mid-palate, the overripe ester flavors explode on the palate as sugar-laden and way too ripe fruits (again mango, roasted pineapple, but also papaya and jackfruit). Intermittently, I also find a nice caramel on its crème catalane that balances with the sharper extreme of many salty notes, on cooked licorice, Nuoc-mâm sauce, tapenades... Unfortunately, the finish loses the intensity of these markers a bit too quickly. Empty glass very briny, tapenade, sweet and salty on soy sauce, distant aspect of burnt wood. Typical GA profile that works very well with me, almost 90 and more if the finish were more marked and long.

Hello tout le monde pour bien attaquer la semaine quoi de mieux qu'un solide Savanna Wild Parrot 2007 ??? Embouteillé en 2018 avec un vieillissement tropical, il titre à un respectable 63.9 degrés. 👃 : Si vous avez la chance d'avoir une bouteille et que vous l'ouvrez pour la 1ère fois, il faut lui laisser une bonne aération et même quelques semaines d'oxydation avant qu'il puisse exprimer son potentiel. Quelle puissance !!!(mais comme Pirelli avec maîtrise) Aucun doute on est bien sur un savanna grand arôme ; le camphre (léger) mélangé au caramel revenu à la casserole amènent une note fraîche et gourmande. Le bonbon acidulé façon arlequin est également présent mais moins que sur des herr blanc par exemple. La banane flambée est également de la partie mais en second plan. Le menthol apporte encore une touche de fraîcheur. Ce nez me fait penser à un bonbon avec une face façon Werter's original boosté aux hormones et une autre face façon bonbon arlequin/Haribo acidulé. 👄 : Le tout 1er arôme que j'ai en bouche est le caramel et la banane flambée puis très vite le camphre et le menthol réchauffent bien la bouche et l'oesophage. Puis des notes légèrement amères boisées viennent titiller la langue. La finale est longue, boisée et enfin gourmande. A mon sens l'intensité des arômes fait de ce Wild Parrot un des tout meilleurs Savanna Grand Arôme que j'ai goûté. Certes ce n'est pas le plus complexe mais sa puissance aromatique combinée aux arômes gourmands et frais font de lui un must. Quand je pense qu'il a fini en soldes à l'époque aux alentours de 150 euros... 91/100.

Sehr schöner Grand Arome, mit Erdbeeren, tropischen, vergorenen Früchten (Ananas, Mango, Papaya), dazu würzige Noten (Lakritze und Zimz) und Süße. Aber auch etwas herzhaftes wie Olive ist dabei. Die Noten kommen am Gaumen wieder, begleitet von der richtigen Portion Holz. Mittellanger, warmer Abgang, mit Lakritze, Zimt und getrockneten Früchten. Heute zusammen mit dem RX20991, der kommenden RumX-Abfüllung verkostet. Ich mag den WP sehr, aber an den RumX kommt er wegen der fehlenden Reife nicht heran.

Color: chestnut Smell: Fruity and alcohol-sharp. Fruit salad of melon, mango, passion fruit, papaya and peach. Also creamy with Werther's Original cream candies. Taste: Sweet in the mouth, fruity (melon, mango, papaya, peach) and creamy with caramel. Full-bodied. When swallowing fruity, alcoholic and spicy. Very tasty. Finish: Long Fruity, fermented and spicy. Overall round. Dry in the aftertaste. 89 points

This Savanna Grand Arôme is slightly less expressive than the official bottlings I had the privilege to taste but you can still recognize this atypical profile from miles away. A little different than usual but still a very good Savanna !

A beautiful rum. The fruits from the grand arôme, evolved from the 11yr tropical aging is amazing. It's a big tropical fruit salad with notes of leather and strawberry. It's like nothing else I've tried (although my 1st aged grand arôme).

💥 Enmore 1994: a slap! Everything harmonizes wonderfully, with an incredible length on notes of raspberry and blueberry. Clearly the best REV 1994 I've tasted so far — my big favorite of the fair ❤️ Just behind, the TDL 2002, perfectly balanced, unfolds a superb peach thread. A real delight! 🍑 Interesting comparison between the two Caroni 1998, with a preference for the red label. The white label even presented some notes... of smoked ham 😉 The Savanna 2007 remained well concentrated and aromatic, the New Yarmouth 2009 offered a nice length on a slight woodiness, and the Diamond 2001 charmed with its gourmand and pastry side, reminiscent of an El Dorado Skeldon. In summary, a very nice series overall, except for the Fiji, with a really too atypical profile — clearly the least convincing of the The Wild Parrot bottlings tasted so far.

Tasted blind at first. Very nice surprise! A delicious and very rich nose, tropical fruits, nuts, solvents. On the palate it's very indulgent, complex and balanced. A delight.
