Definitely a higher ester concentration in the nose than the Pellegrini 2000 14yo and also very broad and fruity profile-wise. If you compared it to an HLCF vintage, you'd notice the ester handbrake is on here. On the palate, not as fruity anymore, although at the start there's a short fruity sweetness. The sweetness turns into a pleasant light acidity and is increasingly dominated by herbs and anise towards the end. A medium-long Hampden finish just gets this rum into my 80 range. 80 points.
