Extreme and not for every day. If you go for it, you will be rewarded with a great Grand Arôme. Pleasant acidity on the palate. A stunner.

Ein wirklich gelungener Savanna, der trotz seines relativ niedrigen ABVs mit einer überraschenden Komplexität überzeugt. Die Aromen sind vielschichtig und spannend. Das Port-Finish ist deutlich präsent und verleiht dem Rum eine fruchtige, süßliche Tiefe, ohne dabei die typische Savanna-DNA zu überdecken. Diese bleibt mit ihren charakteristischen, leicht funkigen und würzigen Noten klar erkennbar. Insgesamt ein harmonisches Zusammenspiel

Grand Arôme grand result. A nice and fruity rum with wood, spices and caramel in a lovely mix with the tannins and port cask finish. Chocolate is very obvious in the empty glass after a while.

Une bouteille bien entamée. Un nez de solvants avec de la framboise, de la cerise amère. Une bouche vive, mais aussitôt beaucoup de fruits avec de la cerise aigre des fruits secs et des fruits tropicaux. Une finale assez longue toujours sur les fruits avec une cerise qui ressort nettement. J’aime !

kleines, privates Savanna Coss-Tasting 2025-07-10: Wow! Ganz schön Sauer! Die Nase schon recht fruchtig, am Gaumen aber die volle Ladung Sauerkirsche und Himbeere. Sehr lecker! Gerne etwas stärker, dann wären wir näher an der 9.0

Even if I like Savanna, the port cask finish is so heavy that it does not play with the standars light profile of Savanna rum Rumy z destilerie Savanna jsou jedny z mych nejoblibenejsich. Doporucuji kazdemu vyzkouset zejmena vuce esterove kousky jako je Grand arome nebo HERR. Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.

Geruch: Fruchtig aromatisch, süß und rund. Riecht nach Schokolade, Portwein und Himbeermarmelade. Zudem schwach floral mit grüner Rinde. Geschmack: Mild und süß im Mund mit deutlichen Portwein-Aromen, wird dann würzig. Beim Schlucken würzig (Ingwer, Zimt), holzig und scharf. Schmeckt nach Karamell und Tabak. Abgang: Lang und würzig. Wässrig-weinig im Nachgeschmack mit nassem Holz. Fazit: Sehr leckerer aber keineswegs überragender Melasse Rum aus meiner Lieblings-Destillerie.

"Ah well, breaking a sample bottle is a great reason to try whats left of the sample. Unfortunately it feels like a great rum was diminished by the port cask. Dont get me wrong, this is still nice, and really clearly porto and grand arome. it just does not excel and for me the porto is holding it back massively"
