A rum tasted in a restaurant, the bottle almost finished. A very pastry nose with brioche and fruit cake, a very light mechanical workshop. Not at all a Caroni marked by empyreumatic aromas. The palate is rather beautiful, but more on dried fruit with a slight diesel note. The finish is all fruit and cake. Typical Caroni notes appear in the empty glass, mixed with fruit as in "The Last", but the comparison ends there, alas.

A rather atypical Caroni representative. Initially still the familiar workshop notes. However, these quickly give way to more dry/fruity notes, caramel, vanilla and spices. A perceptible sweetness on the palate. Overall rather mild, not what you would expect from a Caroni. Good as an introduction, lacking some complexity for advanced drinkers.

27.04.2019 A relaxing evening with good samples and bottles and a few friends. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: wood, burnt, rubber, cherry, spice, tar, light leather. Palate: light, oily, wood, roasted , dried fruit, tar, light rubber, berries. Finish: short to medium, wood, tar, leather, dried fruit.
