Most tasters land in a happy middle here: a Jamaica-Barbados blend where Barbadian coconut, vanilla and crème brûlée round off Jamaican banana, pineapple and light solvent funk. The 65% is remarkably well integrated, so the heat doesn't bite. The recurring gripe is that it plays it safe — one reviewer wanted more Jamaican "folie" and less Barbados sweetness.

Another great blend of very different rums in which each rum tries to keep its place: the Barbados brings indulgence and sweetness in which the Jamaican tries to carve a path to take everything away. Good news: it doesn't work. The sweetness of the Barbados is a bit too present for my taste. Leaving a bit more room for the Jamaican would have pleased me. But it's really very good. Edit: the alcohol is still very present. You can really feel the 65°. A reduction and better integrated alcohol wouldn't hurt.

A good blend that crosses very well Jamaica and Barbados. A good quality rum that lacks a little bit of madness but the whole is pleasant.

A lovely blend of Barbados and Jamaica. The two terroirs harmonize on the nose, one bringing an opulent sweetness and indulgence (caramel, crème brûlée, cinnamon, coconut, spicy wood) while the other brings its funkiness and aroma (butter, esters, solvents, exotic fruits). On the palate, the alchemy is still at work, with exotic fruits and a buttery, gourmet framework on which caramel, vanilla and milk chocolate rest. The solvents are still reminiscent of Jamaica, while the spicy woodiness proclaims its belonging to Barbabde. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is long, buttery and fruity, with a hint of crème brûlée and smoky notes. A round, gourmet blend that just begs to be drunk more.

The nose is very pleasant, gourmand and fruity. The palate is darker with empyreumatic notes. An interesting blend that plays on two registers.

The nose: delicious and accessible esters, very far from the animal wildness of a Hampden. This nose is quite discreet and you have to search for the scents in the glass. The solvent side is almost nonexistent in favor of a tropical fruit salad: pieces of fresh ripe pineapple, a bit of yellow banana. A hint of vanilla coats everything, with more pastry notes of coconut flan (the Foursquare side), but also of clafoutis with sour cherries. Nothing very aggressive despite the esters and a high announced alcohol content. The attack on the palate is lively but super well integrated in alcohol. The esters are more present than on the nose but well balanced. Again, lots of very tasty exotic fruits. But it singularly lacks complexity and madness to take us to other horizons: a total absence of spices, woodiness, or empyreumatic notes. I think there is a lack of aging to bring something else. After, one can appreciate its simplicity, but that doesn't make it an exceptional rum. The finish is medium to long, with finally the arrival of a very light oak woodiness, really discreet, still some esters that remain, and a touch of vanilla.

Très belle assemblage, maîtrisée par Florent Caston, qui démontre tous, sans savoir dans le monde du rhum, déjà, Maitre assembleur au niveau des whisky Ce blend est très intelligent, étant donné que la gourmandise et la rondeur de la Barbade contrebalancer avec le funk de la Jamaïque fonctionne très bien Un. Nez rond sur la noix de coco, la vanille, pas mal de marqueur en provenance de la Barbade et une puissance de bouche sur la Banane, symbole de la Jamaïque. L’alcool est parfaitement intégré, belle réussite.

A real Ping Pong game between Barbados and Jamaica. A great rum to taste and full of character. The finish is interesting.

It's a gold or straw rum, logical given its young age and mainly continental aging. On the nose, Jamaican banana is dominant, followed by a nice fruit compote. The pastry-vanilla gourmandise of Barbados takes space with time to air, the nose is not at all aggressive despite the 65% on the meter! On the palate, it's hot, rather well integrated, the alcohol does not burn, quite the opposite, Barbados perfectly rounds the Jamaican firefly and brings touches both "sweet" and woody. The finish is rather long and pleasant.
