No Versailles. More in the direction of Blairmont. The first sample had a blatant soap impact.

Was very excited about this bottling and have often heard that this should be one of the worst Velier Demerara bottlings. The smell is immediately reminiscent of Versailles and is more than acceptable. Taste also Versailles and very pleasing in my opinion. However, it lacks complexity and length. However, absolutely not a bad rum and better than so many others.

Quite sweet and flat with a peculiar floral-nutty note that possibly indicates an oxidation influence in the sample. Either way, however, the base product remains a little too weak on the chest to impress.
