Wow, was für eine schöne Nase. Sehr, sehr rauchig, Honig, ganz leichte Würze, wenig Holz und Früchte. Bitter, medizinisch. Perfekt ausgewogen, tolle Stärke. Im Mund wahnsinnig komplexe Würze, Honig. Leicht Medizinisch und Kräuter. Epischer Abgang. Würzig, Karamell. Eine schöne, bittere Medizin (das hatten wir schon). 😀Interessant und trotzdem sehr zugänglich. Die Flasche haben ander_s und ich in einer Bar gefunden, der Rest ging mit.

heute nochmal zwei 86er Rockleys, den Bristol (Danke nach Wien!) mit 46% und den Silver Seal mit 58,8% - also nicht ganz fair der Vergleich. Der Bristol gefällt mir gut und schreit sofort ganz laut: Rockley! An der Nase sofort eine fette Honignote. Der SS ist zwar vielschichtiger (Kräuter, Olive, Salzlake), dafür aber etwas weniger bei den typischen Markern. Alleine betrachtet, ist die Verdünnung beim Bristol kein Problem, aber im direkten Vergleich kann der SS hier einfach höher punkten, gerade mit seinem unglaublich langen Abgang.

11.05.2008 Sanya in China is what Mallorca and Ibiza is to the Europeans. A beautiful place with long sandy beaches and mostly 5 star hotels. Notes. Light in colour. Smoky wood with some banana and coconut. Oily naturally sweet palate with added caramel and spices. Finish is medium long and sweet with light smoke and spices.

Teil 3/8 unseres 1986er Rockley Tastings: 12y alter purer rockley, sehr verhalten an der Nase, geschmacklich Honig und Bienenwabe pur und etwas birne, dafür nicht so komplex aber das was er kann, macht er gut und bringt er auf den Punkt! würde ich den noch zum normalen Kurs bekommen, würde der in geile Air Mails kommen! 🤤🍯🐝❤️👌

Ein klasse Old School Rockley aus 86, recht jung aber mit ordentlich Potenzial. Nase.... Leichter Rauch, Honigsüße und etwas muffiges Holz. Taste.... Typische Rockley Aromen schließen sich im Mund zusammen, eine leichte Süße die unkompliziert den Rum begleitet, der Rauch wandelt sich etwas in Richtung Asche, feuchte Asche... Abgang.... entweder liebt man es oder man hasst es... Der Rockley Taste verweilt mittellang , etwas Honig bleibt am Gaumen, der Rauch steht hier über dem Rest. Alkohol ist absolut nicht störend und passt sehr gut für 46%, Es ist aber noch Luft nach oben, damals einer meiner ersten Erfahrungen mit diesem Stil.
