Part of 1423 "24 days of rum" Christmas rum-calendar from 2023. In the nose I found some oak and nuttyness. The taste-notes revealed some fruits and oak, and it had a short aftertaste. Might have been more interesting with a higher ABV%

02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the first half of the tastings. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, wood, light roasted, cinnamon, sweet, light caramel, orange. Palate Light, wood, light caramel, faint nutts, light chocolate, faint smoke, citrus, sweet. Finish Short to medium, fruits, caramel, light chocolate, orange, sweet.

Also an okay rum, like all the ones in this advent calendar. I'm finding it really difficult to categorize the taste. I can taste a slight alcoholic flavor. That's probably why I like it :)

24 Days of Rum 2023, Blue Edition, Day 3 As expected for 12 years, wood is present on the nose and palate, with a short, mild finish. A solidly made after-work sipper that explains "aged rum" well.

Interesting bitter and woody nose. Not necessarily sweet and caramel like as most Spanish rums. Lets see. Sadly very sweet in taste at first. Lots of coffee. Butterscotch. Dryer and woodier notes later. It gets better. The added sugar does hide some of its more interesting layers I think. It got some white pepper. I get no fruityness. Its all wood, spices, cacao and coffee here. But in the end not all that bad.

Wonderful lingering clementine flavour

3rd sample of a 24 days of rum calendar. Typical sweet Venezuelan rum. 👃 shines through sweet tones of vanilla, coffee and raisins. Tongue is mirroring the nose with addition of burnt sugar/burnt caramel. All-in-all very nice spanish type rum.

Sample no.3 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2023. Dried fruit and sweet vanilla on the nose. Palate is smooth and plesant with dried fruits, caramel, coffee and barrel.

A little spicy on the nose and very roasty on the palate. The roasted aromas are too dominant for me. Still, not a bad rum. Too unexciting and very charred for me. The price-performance ratio is not ideal for me. You can get more for the price.

Very good rum with its own taste and, as expected, with venezuelas sweetness. You would nose and taste barrel and oak, slightly cherrish and sweet. Not really overcaramelized but not dry as well. Recommend for siping

Direct na het inschenken vrij peperig, maar vrij snel toegankelijker. Een lekkere rum met smaken van onder anderen koffie, hout, rozijnen, dadels en vanille.

Lehce ostřejší, v chuti sudové a trochu ovocné.
