Day trip Dortmund August 2025. Pub Uncle Tom's. This Old Pascas is a real beast with its 73%. Mostly alcoholic, tropical fruits, especially banana, can be vaguely detected.

On its own, this rum is quite a house number and really only recommended as a test of courage for the very tough. But as a mixer in a MaiTai with a Smith&Cross, it still knows how to please. My guess is that it's not really intended for anything else. Conclusion: for little money, a lot of percentages for a quick crash.

Very alkaline on the nose, not much more there. On the palate surprisingly mild for 73%. Banana comes through most intensely. I suspect this is Worthy Park. Definitely not complex as expected. But makes a good Mai Tai.
