Tasted this rum during my recent visit to the Saint Lucia Distillers (SLD). It’s a blend of unaged, 2yo and 3yo rum as well as column and pot still distilled rum. The aged part is matured in toasted ex-bourbon barrels and then charcoal filtered to remove color. It’s finally bottled at 43% and should not be confused with the earlier version “White label” bottled at 40%. The nose is fresh, fruity and sweet with scents of citrus, lime, banana and sugarcane. At the palate it’s complex, dry, creamy and balanced with flavors of lime, coconut and pineapple.

Urlaub Karibik September 2026. Diesen haben wir auf St. Lucia im Supermarkt gekauft. Also ein ganz netter Chairman's, hat auch nur nen Appel und nen Ei gekostet. Hier sind vor allem Zitrusfrüchte gut erkennbar.

#4144 Not too bad a rum but I'd probably use this one for a mixer. Would have loved a higher ABV. Fresh and fruity with a nice floral touch. The empty glass has a light roasted note and some raisin. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

Purchased as a mixer, it convinced Mr Bali Hai today in the pure tasting, with citrus fruit (lime) on the nose and green apple dominating the palate. It also has hints of yoghurt and a lively freshness that makes it a great mixer. Actually belongs in every well-stocked cocktail bar. And St. Lucia rocks! 🎉

Great mixer, I use it often when the drink actually calls for a Cuban or similarly light rum in the Spanish style, but I want a bit more refinement.

The nose is quite light. Lime mainly but there's a hint of other citrus and a creamy, buttery note. Rather soft and friendly. The palate has a real creaminess to it with a nice fresh apple note. There's something in the background that's interesting. It reminds me of acrylic paint or bicycle inner tube. The finish keeps the apple but it warps to a more generic citrus and there's a small amount of black pepper. It's interesting. I imagine it'd make a great daiquiri with that interesting paint note. But as a neat sipper it's not the best white rum out there.

absolutely brilliant and unique in the daiquiri. very nice note of creamy yogurt with Kumquatmarmelade, raisins and green granny Smith apple. pure not too intense but in the drink really ne bank for the money! I would not have expected.

Ich habe diesen weißen Rum mit Cola verkostet und er war mild und nicht sprittig. Was mich aber massiv störte, war ein unangenehmer und nicht definierbaren Nachgeschmack. Ansonsten geschmacklich unauffällig und ohne andere Nuancen.

Nose is subtle but with hints of lime and fresh citrus and the slightest background of coconut. On the palate the rum is a wonderful texture, smooth and just the right amount of silkyness 😂. This really takes off on the palate for me , I get granny smith apples , slight whiffs of white flowers (not too sure what as of yet) and then a developing creaminess which results in the rum finishing with vanilla and coconut . Would drink straight in a pinch, bound to flourish in a Daquiri !
