A.H. Riise Santos Dumont XO Super Premium Rum
Solid but polarizing sugar-heavy sipper. Loved by sweet-rum fans for its coconut, honey and caramel profile, yet many find it cloying and artificial with limited real rum character.
Those who enjoy very sweet, easy-going rums or liqueur-like spirits (Don Papa, A.H. Riise fans) and want a fruity coconut-honey dessert pour or crowd-pleaser for sweet-toothed guests.

How does A.H. Riise Santos Dumont XO Super Premium Rum taste?
Ultra-sweet coconut-honey dessert sipper
If you like Don Papa or A.H. Riise sweetness bombs, this scratches that itch with coconut and honey; if you prefer dry, complex rum, you’ll likely find it more liqueur than rum.
Drinkers seeking dry, complex or traditional rum character, anyone sensitive to added sugar, and those who dislike artificial-tasting sweetness or very low ABV softness.
For the lover of sweet spirits, this will be a nice alternative to the classic A.H. Riise bottles. Both in taste and price. Santos Dumont XO combines Caribbean molasses and Brazilian cane juice. It's a sweet spirit, in an elegant bottle, that tastes of coconut, citrus, caramel, honey, vanilla. And the nice thing is that, despite the added sugar, you can taste the influence of sherry and port casks. No wonder that with a price tag of up to 50 € it is very popular in the sweet rum world.

Even though I’m not a fan of sweetened rum is this quite OK, maybe because it’s produced from sugar cane honey in pot stills and that that gives it another profile. Significant aromas and flavors is bananas, coconut and honey.
Pleasant through and through. Not complex in any way. Just smooth and pleasant. Sweet though, maybe to much in the long run.
This is also a very sweet rum but it's really fruity. Using it for baking, ice cream and desserts.
Excellent, palatable and very interesting rum. The longer you drink it, the more aromas it reveals. Sweet, fruity and spicy with a very interesting interplay of wood and roasted aromas. A very interesting interplay of aromas even after the glass is empty. For me a very good rum...exactly my taste!
