Somehow, out of this Trilogy, i like the blend the most, it really hits a presonal sweetspot for me. It is rather nice typical 1996 aroma. but gets really harmonic in the end. Very fruity, dirty and pungent.
14.03.2020 Had a nice afternoon and evening with friends. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: wood, roasted, dried fruit, tar, light rubber, cherry. Palate: oily, wood, roasted, light tar and rubber, caramel. Finish: very long, wood, roasted licorice, orange.
Un rhum que j’ai eu la chance de goûter à l’aveugle. J’ai parié sur un blend Caroni, Demerara et Jamaïque. Un nez de vieux bois vernis, des esters discrets, des fruits jaunes et des fruits tropicaux trop mûrs. Une petite hésitation en début de bouche, comme un déséquilibre, puis tout se met en place, les arômes envahissent et emplissent l’espace jusqu’à l’apex. Magnifique ! Puis tout redescend dans une finale super longue, très boisée et pourtant fraîche. Le verre vide est étonnement vif avec un côté frais et un côté vieille corde de chanvre.
Top nose. On the palate, however, the alcohol is not ideally integrated in my opinion.
