24.10.2020 Lovely tasting arranged by one of my suppliers of rum. Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Medium intense, wood, cinnamon, plum, light chocolate, faint leather. Palate Oily, balanced, complex, wood, tannins, light roasted, faint smoke, plum, light citrus, faint chocolate, raisin. Finish Medium to long, wood, dried fruit, faint chocolate, roasted, faint smoke.
A classic navy profile on the nose with tropical fruit from Jamaica alongside the heavy dark notes from Guyana. On the palate, the interplay remains, molasses sweetness, dark chocolate, tobacco, dark pepper flavors, but again also tropical fruit notes that flash with an estrous freshness.
