What a Caroni ! This rum is a sweetness monster in a kind of old school way. Quite different from round 1996 profile. Perfect balance between woody and sweet notes. This thing is so easy to sip that it becomes dangerous ! I love it as much as I love very dry/dirty Caronis 🥰

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting: Nose very good with tropical notes. Can't keep up on the palate, lacks complexity, finish very dry, astringent.

This is an old tasting from the time I lived in China. The tasting was a surprise so only a few notes were made on a paper napkin 😊 Dark in colour and light in the ABV compared to the other tasting. Nice balance and typical Caroni flavours.

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Classic LTR profile reminiscent of Barbados rums: nice sweetness of vanilla, caramel, subtle coconut notes, plus some spiciness from coffee and allspice. It has little to do with the HTR style, but shows that Caroni is also capable of crafting convincing rums with great palatability and without the typical dirty notes.

Top nose, but falls off a little on the palate.
