Original impressions from 2017 rum calendar. Nose: **** Taste: *** Overall: **** ”40% Dominican Republic. 87606 systembolaget (499:-)” Nice and sweet on the nose with vanilla, chocolate and caramel. This translates nice to the palate and a very pleasant sipper.

This rum I would like to try less heavily sweetened. The fruit notes, vanilla, some oak are very pleasant on the nose and in the mouth, but in the end the rum is just too sweet for me.

Sehr süßer Rum, eventuell für Einsteiger geeignet. Mich würde es nicht wundern wenn eine gute Menge Zucker zugesetzt wurde. Ist trinkbar, für mich aber zu langweilig und vor allem zu süß.

This rum is also too sweet for me. Oliver and Oliver can do better. This rum is slightly better than the XO but less sweet would be better.

Tried this in a hotel bar with very limited range. Would never have tried it under normal circumstances, cause I had earlier tested the XO and thought it was much too sweet. This one is also too sweet for me, but less than the XO.

Süffig aber langweilig. Vermutlich eine gute Wahl, wenn man Gäste betrunken machen möchte, die kein Interesse an komplexerem Stoff haben.
