At first the rum surprises with rotten notes. Then herbs come through, reminiscent of the sweetish Jägermeister. After a sweet start, probably due to the sherry finish, grain takes over, whisky impression. A long, cozy warm finish with honey, cherry and subtle smoky notes.

On second tasting the rum still presents strangely on the nose, but letting it oxygenate in the mouth it opens up and shows well-integrated alcohol and overall is not so rancid and unpleasant. Not memorable but more than decent

Smells pleasantly sweet caramel-like with rock sugar. Full spicy start, but then replaced by a strange rancid off-flavor that overwhelms everything else. Unfortunately ruins the enjoyment for me.
