DOS maderas with light coffee tones. Lots of vanilla and fruit, then dark tones of roasted malt, nuts and coffee on the finish. The rum is clean and harmonious. I recommend trying it here

This is a step up from the 5+5 and in a good way. More complexity and a wonderful nose after resting for 15 minutes. There is something tropical about this nice rum. The nose sets off with vanilla and caramel followed by barrel and some orange. The palate is nicely balanced between the proof and spices/oak/barrel. Almond, chocolate and molasses follow and sweet, spice and sherry tops it off. The finish is medium long, warm and some spices.

A good sweetened solera rum! It’s more on the nutty side bit a good sipper. pleasant to drink. What i like: The unique bottle and box 😋 Nose: Solvents, fruity, dried fruits, orange, almond, roasted, walnut, vanilla Mouth: dry, mild, balanced, thin, sugar, sweet, molasses, pastries, vanilla, oak(barrel), nutty, almond Finish: Short, dry, warm, honey, sweet, caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla, oak(barrel)

Today I'm probably luckier with the rums than yesterday :) I also like this one very much, a very smooth, very mellow rum with a light vanilla and nutty flavor. The finish is also very fine.

One of my first more expensive rums. I love the look of the bottle. It's worth buying for that alone. In my opinion, the rum itself is aimed more at beginners. I still think it's okay, but there are of course much more complex rums for the price.

Tasted at a Williams & Humbert tasting on 30.03.26 The last one at the tasting as a little "highlight" Compared to the previous ones, no added value, except for the price ;-) Personally too sweet and too flat for me and hardly any development compared to the 5+5 (spirit based on rum) Better go for the Seleccion, or more unusual the Origins Thailand) A lot of budget flows into marketing and packaging here, less into the rum. A bit more % would suit it well.

On the nose, the first thing you notice is a woody vanilla-sugarcoffee scent. The aroma also reminds me strongly of Madeira wine. However, this port note is not confirmed on the palate. Here I taste nut, vanilla, oak and a little sherry. A good and complex sweet rum.

Old school and resonable good, but still way too sweet. If you like sweet rums this might be your thing, but for me I’m looking for the next. - Now 3 years since last tasting above and holy moly this is sweet as fuck.

It achieves its excellent taste thanks to 10 years of aging in barrels in the Caribbean region. Then the rum ages at Williams & Humbert in the city of Jerez de la Frontera. Here it ages at least another five years in American white oak barrels, in which originally twenty-year-old Sherry Don Guido matured. The result is a velvety and fairly viscous, full and smooth taste with a very long finish with notes of spices, nuts and honey.

In the nose dark fruits and cask. Same in the mouth as in the nose. Very pleasant and round. It tends to die out, but comes with a little prick at the end.

Caramel, vanilla and sweet nose, very indulgent actually. Very round mouthfeel, almost tasting the glycerol... with a touch of alcohol giving it warmth. Warm finish. Turtle on the bottle because they would give 7 to 10% for the protection of turtle eggs in the Caribbean.
