The nose is beautiful with dried fruits. Very complex and very fine, but unfortunately lacks power. If it had that, it would be my Agricole reference. On the mouth then woodier and afterwards a long, velvety finish. I just tasted it with the Chantal Comte La Mauny 2001, which tastes very similar, a bit stronger and equally good.

A nose a little closed but of a beautiful complexity. A round mouth, with a nice texture and a pleasant sweetness. The finish is moderately long, with nice spices.

Color: orange brown Nose: Aromatic, sweet and fruity. Exotic spices like cardamom. Also aromas of forest honey and sandalwood. Floral and medicinal herbal. Taste: Fruity sweet and mild in the mouth. Then spicy with toffee. When swallowing concentrated, spicy, woody and medicinal herbal. Finish: Long Dry, woody and spicy. Slightly bitter medicinal and mineral aftertaste. Conclusion: Very tasty rum – typical Neisson. 87 points

The nose is slightly woody, rather fruity (tropical fruits: papayas – figs), spicy chocolate with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, there is a frank attack (very slight lack of alcohol integration). Dried fruits appear, as well as vanilla but the wood is obviously dominant. The finish is on the wood with a lack of length for a 15-year-old. It’s indulgent but this rum is severely lacking in intensity. I don’t know if it’s the duo La Tour de l’Or from CC and the Bielle 2001 LMDW tasted just before that completely overshadowed this Neisson?
