Australian Rums Tasting, Rum Club Switzerland. A rather fine nose (despite the ABV) with dried fruit, prunes, cedar wood and good acidity. Ouch! On the palate, it's a real blast. Strong alcohol attack. But the dried fruit is not far away and the wood is very well integrated. The finish is rather short, on bitter wood and vanilla. Not a rum for everyone, but not uninteresting either.

#6567 28.03.2026 - Part 4 The first online tasting of 2026 of the group we had in Shanghai. Funny that we are now living in different parts of the world again. Singapore, Sweden, UK, Denmark and Thailand 😊 Thank you for the samples Petter. This is a very good rum when looking at the price tag. This one needs to rest for a while to really open up properly. The nose is intense and fruity with nice berries, peach, spice, light caramel and chocolate. The palate is intense and fruity with cherry, mango, chocolate, light salt andnaturally sweet. The finish is very long and warm with fruits, mango, apricot, vanilla and chocolate.

Cool Beenleigh. The nose here is mostly alcoholic, I can also detect some burnt and brown sugar. On the palate then a bit more aromas, remains alcoholic (understandably), otherwise vanilla, chocolate, and caramel.

I'm always surprised when just under 80% are so drinkable...on the nose after some time a nice mix of creme brulee and green apple, as well as some blackberry and dark chocolate.taste then full broadside creamy, strong cappuccino dusted with cocoa, some dark grapes and lots of spices, as well as slightly floral notes reminiscent of red pepper, vanilla beans and mace. in the finish comes some fruit bread, candied ginger as well as raisins, figs and slightly metallic notes to it. very good for the alcohol strength, could only be a little more complex.🤙

Nose very alcoholic, I like it better on the palate. The 78.1% is clearly noticeable. Only for experienced drinkers with a lot of CS experience 😅.
