In der Nase präsente Ledernoten, Dörrpflaumen, Tabak und dunkle Schokolade. Am Gaumen vertiefen sich diese Eindrücke – cremige Trockenfrüchte, geröstetes Holz, etwas Menthol und eine zarte Lakritznote treten hinzu. Das Finish ist langanhaltend, mit rauchigem Leder und einer feinen Bitterkeit, die das Profil rund abschließt. Ein typischer Port Mourant mit viel Substanz, Tiefe und Präzision, der seine enorme Punktzahl voll ausspielt.

04.03.2017 Whiskymessen by whisky.dk with a few friends and also trying some whisky samples. Notes. Best rum of the day. Very well balanced though the wood was string it still only complimented the profile. Oily palate with a very long finish.

An absolutely outstanding vintage. Dried fruit, sweet, molasses notes, musty wood and spices are in perfect harmony here. The more than 60% bring a lot of power, yet it remains pleasant. It has the least bitterness compared to other PMs from the 60s and 70s. Nice that I still have 7cl ^^

Quite different from comparable PM's of the same age, somewhat fruitier and "brighter", less molasses and less bitter. Incredibly smooth and well-integrated alcohol content. Consistently brilliant
