Bottle Market Bremen December 2025. And finally a good rum :-) The nose is very woody, plus we have vanilla and mocha. On the palate, it is then very smoky, spicy, and woody. A really good rum.

This Agricole, from the Bellevue distillery, distilled in 2009 have been aged for a minimum of 7 years in former bourbon casks of American oak before reduced to ABV 42% and bottled. The year 2009 is said to have given a harvest of cane rich in sugar in Guadeloupe. Overall a very round Agricole, maybe too round. It would have been interesting to taste its brother at ABV 66,9% also aged for 7 years and from 2009.

A light nose with vegetal, fruits and varnish. The palate is also light with smoky and fruits in the background. The finish is short, vegetal. A good rum but without much character.

#7266 10.09.2026 Had a nice day at work and a very fast extended walk home today. Listening to Daily Mix 01 on Spotify. A very decent rum with a good price tag at release in my mind. Roasted wood profile with fruits, spice, caramel, tobacco, tannins, sugarcane, grass, coffee and a dry palate.
