Very drinkable Jamaican representative. Absolutely brilliant and complex on the nose and also in the smell. Only the finish could be a bit longer and 2 to 3 percent more would be good too. But I am absolutely thrilled Addendum 15.6.22 Unfortunately, I noticed that the aromas are extremely volatile. My bottle stood closed in the cupboard for 1 year. Only 4cl were missing from 0.7l. The complex ester notes have disappeared. And I had to correct my 90 rating to an 80 rating. Really a pity.

This is a boring rum… A bit fruity, woody with light ester and roasted notes. Very soft, thin and uncomplex due to much diluation…

The nose is mainly fruity, pineapple, surprisingly much vanilla and caramel. The taste is a bit weak. The fruit flavor is a bit dry, grapes, vanilla, spicy and woody. —————- 2026-06-30 Raising it a bit after a second tasting.

Read full review →Plantation Jamaica 2009 Long Pond CRV strikes me as being a little confused or something trying to play to the "normal" Plantation customer. Personally, I think it gives an entirely false impression of what Long Pond/Jamaican rum is all about. Again like Xaymaca I'm felt underwhelmed by another lost opportunity.
