CDI New Yarmouth Jamaica 2005
People already into Jamaican high-ester rum are the right crowd here. New Yarmouth 2005 leads with glue, solvent and butter on the nose, then flips on the palate to ripe mango and pineapple over cookie dough. Tasters love the profile but agree on two things: it reads "a bit thin" at 55% and the finish runs short.
- Ripe tropical fruit
- Classic NY funk
- Good alcohol integration

How does CDI New Yarmouth Jamaica 2005 taste?
Aggregated from 25 community reviews.
Funky, fruity Jamaican with a short finish Loved by funk fans for its mango-and-glue profile, though several note it feels a little diluted at 55% and the finish drops off fast. Strong, just not the top 2005.
Fans of Jamaican high-ester funk and tropical-fruit pot still

Insgesamt sehr einladend. Am Gaumen finden sich die Aromen wieder. Alkohol gut eingebunden.

Nose is heavy on solvents, glue and butter dough. The palate gets overtaken by fresh fruits and the solvents take a backseat. Finish is rather short but Inlike the overall development, enjoyable dram.

A nose of glue and varnish, dominated by fresh fruit. On the palate, the opposite is true, with fruit dominating over varnish and solvents. The finish is rather short and a little acqueous. In the empty glass, peppery and spicy notes emerge, previously absent.

NY wie man ihn erwartet … alles da: Gebäck, Mandel, Klebstoff, Lösungsmittel, Ananas, Tropische Frucht, Butter. Evtl. etwas sauer.

Nice funky nose with lots of tropical fruits and some cookie dough on the nose. However not quite as vibrant as some 09ers I had recently. Same marker on the palate. Nice profile which ticks all the NY boxes.
