Thinking about the price tag this is also a good rum. The Fiji flavours are there and the wood is not to dominant. The fruit is really nice and there is a spice/warm touch in the palate.

Gut, aber etwas flach

Meine Nase nimmt eine angenehme leichte Estersäure war, gepaart mit Zuckerrohr, Zitronen, exotischen Früchten und etwas Medizin was mich sehr stark an den Rockley Stil erinnert – ein sehr viel versprechender Start! Am Gaumen geht die Ähnlichkeit mit dem Rockley Stil weiter, da ich hier zu den typischen Medizinassoziationen auch noch Honig wahrnehme. Zudem zu Beginn Süße, die schnell in eine leichte Estersäure umschwenkt. Im direkten Vergleich mit dem DT Fiji 10yo 53,8% fällt der Fiji leider ab – die ~8% Vol. des DT sind deutlich merkbar. Der SBS Fiji verliert durch die starke verdünnung stark an Körper und Kraft ohne Aromengewinn. Warum wurde hier nur verdünnt? Ein mittellanger Abgang der ins kräuterige überschlegt retten den Fehler mit der Verdünnung leider nicht. Trotzdem noch ein guter Rum für Leute denen Rockley liegt und Verdünnung nichts ausmacht. 80 Punkte

guter Trinkstärke Fiji! nicht zu Rauchig, nicht zu medizinisch, schöne Frucht und Würze, sehr harmonisch, könnt nur paar % mehr Vertragen.
