A lovely rum to finish the evening, but a bit too expensive due to the limited number of released bottles.

8,6:On the nose, vegetal sugar cane, roasted wood notes like pastry, caramel milk chocolate, roasted nuts, smoky, spicy with vanilla, anise, strong barrel impact with baked apple, maple, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, sugarcane is flowery, candied, green, citrus and tropical fruits arise, slightly pungent, leather, brown sugar join. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is hot, dry, strong, slightly medicinal and intense with vegetal(chilli) sugarcane, peppery, salty, grassy, flowery, earthy, mineral and candied, fruity with dried, yellow and green fruits, full-bodied, concentrated, as the wood is roasted with cocoa, roasted nuts, pastry, biscuits, caramelized, spicy and smoky, barrel impact is obvious with maple, leather... 8,5:The finish is long, dry&tannic, with earthy, flowery, vegetal sugar cane, fresh with tea, roasted, charred oak notes like nuts, burnt sugar, caramel, toffee, pastry, leather, spicy, smoky and fruity with dried, green fruits. This rum took about 40 before it started to open up. On the nose: Comparing my notes to others and straingely, i did find this spice and agricole forward. Roasted, vegetal, sugarcane, allspice notes and little bit of vanilla Taste: Sugarcane notes and vegetal notes mixed with spices. Then you get some sweet notes like caramel while there is a light smoky notes in the background. Nice complexity and good balance. Finish: Vegetal, spices like allspice, woody notes, roasted notes, leather and somekind of syrupy sweet note. Medium finish. This one offered nice complexity and still had those agricole notes. I think i have to take a closer look on Père Labat rums

Rum in this heat, let's try our luck :) This one is definitely very tasty. Besides spices, leather, wood, and oak, we have a light sweetness here. You can recognize vanilla, toffee, and burnt sugar.

A great Agricole! Very intense vegetal and grassy, also floral and a hint medicinal, plus vanilla and baking spice aromas. Some time in the glass does him very good, as in the first 20 minutes he comes across a bit sharp. The finish is medium-long and very sweet! Many thanks for the sample @Skyfly

Great old Pere Labat! Spicy heavy, thick, oily. Not as sweet as usual with a nice chili, pepper, toffee note. Surprisingly smoky and dry, nutty and astringent on the finish. Great experience, thanks Rob!

Besides the grassy-fresh agricole notes on the nose, also very spicy, towards vanilla-baked apple. On the palate an intense, long-lasting sweetness, smoky on the finish. The maturation in bourbon cask shows positively.

A great Agricole that brings unusual aromas like baked apple. Exceptionally sweet with burnt sugar and some candied notes. The sugarcane is also noticeable but somewhat in the background. From nose to finish various spices and something burnt.

Delicious, full-bodied, spicy, oily Agricole. A bit dry and smoky, but above all nutty, floral, and glue notes come to the fore. Delightfully peppery in the long finish. The longer it sits in the glass, the more floral it becomes. A touch of sweetness also comes through nicely.

A very bold, spicy woody Agricole at a respectable drinking strength. On the nose, a wintry baked apple cinnamon aroma, it shifts on the palate to a spicy woody vegetal side... which continues in the medium-long finish... I like it.

For me, so far the best bottling from Poisson that I've had in the glass. A complex vegetal Agricole with a nice nutty note, pleasant light sweetness and spices. The alcohol is well integrated.

Relatively straightforward and clean Agricole. It starts with vegetal notes and some apple, then comes an intense vanilla-like sweetness that, together with the vegetal notes, heralds the finish. Alcohol is very well integrated, but the profile doesn't appeal to me 100%, especially at the price asked.

The bottle has been open for a long time but overall it's very nice. Freshness at the start of the palate, endless length and very fruity, nice integration of the alcohol. Slight sulfur on the nose when opened which quickly fades, not at all on the palate. Very nice melted woodiness, slight oxidative note on nuts no astringency. Tropical and yellow fruit marmalade. Very good.

Vegetal notes of fresh twigs, agave and melon. Then milk coffee and vanilla pod (from the cask). On the palate you also feel the vegetal notes, combined with the clairin-like goat cheese. Very spicy, clean Pere Labat. Very nice and puristic if you want to taste the essence of a young Guadeloupe Agricole.
