Silver Seal Port Mourant Demerara 1975
Sipped neat, slowly, this is what 37 years in cask does to Port Mourant: prunes and dark brown fruit, old wood, leather and licorice, with a long finish a couple of tasters call almost endless. One reviewer caught it "before it kips into bitter" — others still find the oak and bitterness a touch much. Full-bodied, with the alcohol nearly hidden despite 51%.
- Deep prune, leather
- Endless finish
- Hidden alcohol

How does Silver Seal Port Mourant Demerara 1975 taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Old, woody Port Mourant: prunes and leather Loved by the people lucky enough to try it — deep prune, leather and oak from this old still. Some find it tips a little too bitter and dried-out from the long aging.

This is a great sip of a very rare bottle made on the oldest still in the world. Very expensive golden drops but well worth it.
Review by Leo Tomczak
Inspiring rum. Bottled at just the right time before it turns bitter. Tastes like a 94 REV only better. Great woody notes, eternal finish. Comprehensive creaminess and even a slight sweetness despite its great age. Wow!
Review by Johannes Eisner
A full load of plum on the nose, then a little more bitter on the finish than other PM 7x.
