Dark fruit, raisin and plum up front, with an oloroso sherry layer over Worthy Park's pot-still fruit basket — grapefruit, pineapple, cocoa, leather and drying tannins. Several tasters call it more wine-like than sherry-heavy, with a warm, dry finish. It genuinely needs 30-40 minutes in the glass to open. Full-bodied, complex, and not an everyday pour.

For me, it has the same roasted aromas as the Hampden overproof. But this one is more complex and interesting due to the oloroso finish.

Very similar in taste to the Single Estate Reserve. You get basically the same Worthy Park fruit basket as the Single Estate with a slightly drier finish and even more complexity in the fruit notes through the cask finish. It therefore drinks a little heavier overall compared to the Single Estate and I think you have to be in the right mood for it.

A very pleasantly scented rum, just from the nose one of the best of the Special Cask Series. But you should give it some time to breathe. Also good on the palate, maybe a bit lacking in fruit, roundness or balance. But basically top!

This rum did sit in the glass for a good 40 minutes before the review. On the nose: Light ester and solvents. Woody. Dark fruits, plums and raisins. Balanced. Has a full bodied and heavy feel to it. Light vanilla notes come in after the rum has been sitting in the glass. Taste: Intense and full bodied. Little bit of vanilla and leather notes at first. Dried fruits like raisin. Then you get good sherry notes. I feel that abv integration and the abv level is very good on this one. Finish: Woody, toasted notes, vanilla and spices. Dark chocolate notes. Nicely warm and dry. Medium finish. Good level of intensity and nice full bodied feel to it. I think its a very good sherrycask rum. It just needs to sit in the glass in order to open up.

for an oloroso finish not even so Sherry lastig! crass grapefruit note which is intensively through and underpinned by some pineapple, plum and cocoa and dark chocolate, as well as spices and some wood. in the finish then a slightly salty note and neat tannins that are more reminiscent of red wine than sherry. definitely not a daily Sipper but times a nice worthy Park for a change with a very own character!
