20.11.2025 Enjoying the final sample from my bottle and I still find it really good. --------- As pro ised I have found the notes from my old Flibuste tastings and will add them today. This version is great and the plum is strong on this one without being too dominant. Sweet and slight touch of wood and fruity from nose to finish. My only regret is that I only bought a few bottles of this release.

A sample of a Flibuste from the early 1980s. A nose both typical of La Favorite with hemp rope, but you feel a complexity, a softness and a unique concentration. The mouth is even more beautiful, lots of wood, but also freshness and fruits and spices. Everything is in balance. The freshness persists in the finish and the wood, although very present, does not dominate. The empty glass also retains this freshness that prevents any heaviness. A mysterious and antique rum.

Wow! Incredible smoothness! You can tell the rum has aged but with really very soft notes. An enchanting, round, and well-made palate. But really a rum of softness, the degrees are well integrated. A vanilla side also stands out.
