All my Tastings and Scores are purely based on “Rums under £50”. I rarely look at Rums over £50 for my YouTube.

Budget sipper

Spice much more prominent than 5yo, not as smooth as 5 too, still perfectly nice and worked well mixed.
Review by Goodoboy30
This one is pretty good neat but really shines as a mixer.
Review by Ian Gilman
A perfectly good but not terribly unique rum. Great mixer but generally would reach for something like Hamilton 86 before this.

For $20, you really can't beat it as a budget sipper. On ice is where this rum shines. Outside of being particularly strong with the spice notes (which is perfectly fine with me), there really isn't anything too overwhelming with the flavor profile. Sure, there are better rums out there. But, I enjoy this one as a light, easy going session rum for a bit of weeknight relaxation after a hard day's work.
Review by Jarrod Smith
Fairly complex column still rum. Good flavors. Spicy nuttiness. Nice finish. Ok nose. From memory not a lot more enjoyable than the four year, but a bit more complex on the flavors.
Review by Christian Rudt
My brother had never tried the bottle on the shelf, so please. The nose is still the best here, with a good hint of cognac. On the palate mainly rum raisin and somewhat thin taste. Certainly usable for a rum cola.
Review by Torsten L
Goes in the vanilla-fruit direction. Slightly creamy. Overall average.

An alright rum, considering the 12 year old is very similar in price, I would never reach for this again

I bought this bottle a few years ago in Nicaragua, the country of origin. There the rum was only bottled at 37%. At that time the go-to rum for cola rum, or the 4 year old. Quite alcoholic but quite good when mixed.
Review by HenryL
Pure not so mine, nice nose but too sharp in taste. To mix but a cheap and good rum
Review by zabo
The only rum at the Christmas market that you could get at the Nicaragua stand. I had it in cocoa and grog as an update. It works there. Probably not so good neat.
Review by MaddenC11
A dry rum, not overly sweet with a woodyness and notes of caramel of spice. A tad bit harsh. Not a bad sipper for the price but certainly not my first choice.
Review by Adam Rajchert
Mimo niedoskonałości w neat sipping, ma zadatki na dobry mixer do drinków. Kiedyś zrobiłem na tym bardzo smaczne muddy mojito. Zapach: espresso, orzech laskowy, karmel, ziele angielskie, cynamon, rodzynki, suszone brzoskwinie Smak: wodnisty, espresso, karmel, orzechy, drewno, alkohol, suszone brzoskwinie, rodzynki, wanilia, gałka muszkatołowa Finisz drewno, przyprawy, rodzynki, kawa
